At VGallery in Morton, Illinois

Isn't this a crazy picture! This is called a Ring Flash and it is ubber cool looking. Another attendee took a picture of Vicki Taufer taking a picture of me during a 3 day long workshop a few weeks ago. It was a great experience and Vicki showed us her different photography styles by taking pictures of all the photographers who attended. It was also very insightful for us to know what our clients feel like when they are behind our cameras.

Her studio was jaw dropping and it was great to study with her. I love photography for my never ending quest to learn more and love how other photographers are so willing to share with others what works for them. You can light a subject so many different ways, and it is always cool to see what another really successful photographer does. I feel like a kid in a giant candy store when I get to play with other peoples lenses, light modifiers and see their studios. I plan on paying it forward a little bit down the road.

Burrr... it was fAra-Eezing out! Below is a picture of our "Selling the Experience" group. I am on the left in the white dress. Thanks to the Vgallery Vlog for this picture.

A Few More of Jackie

You see posts and then you don't. That's just how this Blog seems to be going. I couldn't resist posting a few more and one showing a "behind the scene" look which I think is always fun to see.

Jackie ... a stunning 15 Year Old

This was taken yesterday in my studio with the help of fellow photographer Jim Van Luven. We had a lot of fun with this shoot and I was blown away at this 15 year olds beauty and can't wait to see her portfolio when it's done. More to come on this one.

"The Birthday Bash" session of my Lil' Abby

My Lil' Abby turned one last week and this is the birthday invitation I designed for her. There is nothing like celebrating your child's firsts. First smile, first crawl, first sitting up and the biggie...the first birthday.

First Image : Front of her Birthday Invitation: a 5"x7" professionally printed card. Yes, this invite screams over-the-top and is the ultimate birthday invitation for your child. It's just like a Hallmark card but better :)... it's a custom designed Madison Christopher Card with your images on it.

2nd Image : Inside top and bottom (5" wide x 14" Long)

3rd Image : Back of the card:

It's
called my "Birthday Bash Session" and it's for a boy or a girl and includes a little birthday cake with sprinkles, lots of fun and smiles. If you are interested in having this session please call the studio.

Some other images I love of her from that session:

Simple Life Moments - Giving thanks this Thanksgiving

I am sitting here all full and relaxing in front of the TV. I looked around at all the happenings today and I realized just how lucky I am. Throughout the day I saw my mother-in-law busy making dinner and seeing her take a break from it to give my son a big hug. I looked up to see my husband smiling admiring his handy work of hanging a mirror. I turned to see my beautiful, full of life Lil' Abby screatching and jumping up and down in her play saucer and I thought this is life. This is my life and I felt so warm and blessed to be here in this moment.

Then I got on the phone and spoke to all my family back at home. Hearing my mom's voice is something I will never tire of and never ever want to think of a day that I can't just pick up the phone and chat with her. Then my cute Dad - he has such a jest for life. My sis Laura, loved hearing about her clothing dilema, and my sis Lisa - who will be spending her time at my mom's waxing everyone's eyebrows. And lastly our Grandma Pat - who always makes my kids gleam. I love you all and realized I don't tell you enough, something I realized I need to change. So I guess I have a busy week ahead of me.

See, I am realizing that life gets so crazy busy, but when you take a minute to look - really look and feel in your heart your blessings- you realize the little stuff sometimes may get to you emotionally but it is nothing compared to these simple life moments that mean everything.

I wish you all life full of love and to see the joy that you have in your life everyday.

Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless-
Madison
