Simple Life Moments - Giving thanks this Thanksgiving

I am sitting here all full and relaxing in front of the TV. I looked around at all the happenings today and I realized just how lucky I am. Throughout the day I saw my mother-in-law busy making dinner and seeing her take a break from it to give my son a big hug. I looked up to see my husband smiling admiring his handy work of hanging a mirror. I turned to see my beautiful, full of life Lil' Abby screatching and jumping up and down in her play saucer and I thought this is life. This is my life and I felt so warm and blessed to be here in this moment.

Then I got on the phone and spoke to all my family back at home. Hearing my mom's voice is something I will never tire of and never ever want to think of a day that I can't just pick up the phone and chat with her. Then my cute Dad - he has such a jest for life. My sis Laura, loved hearing about her clothing dilema, and my sis Lisa - who will be spending her time at my mom's waxing everyone's eyebrows. And lastly our Grandma Pat - who always makes my kids gleam. I love you all and realized I don't tell you enough, something I realized I need to change. So I guess I have a busy week ahead of me.

See, I am realizing that life gets so crazy busy, but when you take a minute to look - really look and feel in your heart your blessings- you realize the little stuff sometimes may get to you emotionally but it is nothing compared to these simple life moments that mean everything.

I wish you all life full of love and to see the joy that you have in your life everyday.

Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless-

Rooster & Rascal - making their Internet Debut!

I love this one! It makes you smile.

Meet Mr. GQ

Have to run... have a few more from the Pankowski Clan to post later tonight. Thought I would post one for now.

A Few More

It's Coming

Well we have had our first snow here in Michigan and the stores are all gearing up for Christmas. I even found an hour to go find my kids their Christmas Best outfits - something I never had done before. My son was always dressed nicely but this year I went all out. I got him really nice dress pants, sweater vest and red tie. My daughter a red deep rich red velvet dress. They are going to look as cute as the kids I photograph. So you can say I'm getting in the holiday mood myself. How can I not right - with all these fun Winter/Christmas sessions. Here are a few from recent ones. More to come.

Had to post one more.... Here is a close up of "C's" face from the post below to show how incredible his reaction was. Children are so precious - look at the pure joy in his face and I love how he is holding his hat.

Frankie-stein

Just a quick post to show you a picture of my Frankie from last week. His Grandma sent him a Frankenstein marshmellow treat in the mail, which prompted a quick photo op. This also shows how it can snow in my magical studio!

Beautiful Fall at Sherwood Preschool

This morning when I dropped my son off at school I happened to have my camera with me so I popped out of the car and took a few of him in front of his preschool. As I was taking a few pictures - one of Frankie's all time favorite teachers (Miss Stacy - owner) ran out to get in one. She's just the best. We LOVE Sherwood Preschool! Here ya go Stacy - your girls this morning waiting for the school bus. And yes...I will be more than happy to give you a copy.

My Lil' Abby

I want you to meet my little Abby. Yesterday, my little girl reached a big milestone in babyhood of sitting up by herself. So I decided to do a photo session before she moves onto something else. I will post some pictures of my Frankie soon too.

St. Matthew's Homecoming Gala & Silent Auction - October 7, 2007

Hi. Since my website isn't ready yet I have decided to start blogging so I can share with you some things that have been going on. This weekend on October 7th is the St. Matthew's Homecoming Gala & Charity Auction that my past clients Kevin & Julie W. and their daughter "R" belong to. I photographed this great family over a year ago and love that we still keep in touch. She was telling me about her school and how they are having their first Charity Auction so I offered to donate a family session and an 11x14 heirloom print. It will be exciting to meet the family who wins and I'll post them here when I find out!

Another way the families of St. Matthew's can give back to the school is to sign up for my Christmas Card Special on October 27th. By participating they will receive a $25 check made out to St. Matthew's Christian Education! See auction bulletin insert below.

I have a lot more to share with you so keep checking back!
